For years, celebrities have been loving swimwear trends that bare all – and the latest look in bikinis does just that. We’ve been seeing these “loincloth” bikini briefs everywhere, cut with a high leg and stringy waist to leave little to the imagination.
These bikinis have been everywhere since the start of summer 2021, and they’re still going strong! We were taken aback when we realized this trend was here to stay yet celebs always know what’s up when it comes to style – and our favorite it-girls have been soaking up this look more than anyone!
Exhibit A: Hailey Bieber. She's definitely a girl who knows what's what in the world of fashion. From modeling on the runway to shopping the latest and greatest in the world of streetwear, Hailey's the perfect icon to look towards when you need some trend inspo.
So we were not suprised at all to see Hailey front and center in the loincloth bikini trend. In this racy shot from her Instagram, we see the 24-year-old beauty sporting a bubblegum-pink number by Triangl. Don't you love the curvy silhouette of these itty-bitty bottoms?!
Exhibit B: Kim Kardashian. Never one to shy away from a sexy look, Kim Kardashian has clearly been LOVING the loincloth bikini trend. In this playful number from last summer, Kim dons a chic purple set by I.Am.Gia.

Exhibit C: Emily Ratajkowski. Last but definitely not least. How can we chat swim trends without mentioning Emily Ratajkowski? The 30-year-old stunner is always modeling new swim looks - and the loincloth trend seems to be one of her favorites.
here, Emily wears a frilly, feminine number in mint green. These loincloth briefs feature the highest-cut leg we have yet to see - plus, the matching off-the-shoulder top lends a touch of elegance to the sexy look.
