High-protein power breakfast bowls

Recipe: 6 whole eggs, 3 cups of egg whites, 24 links of Jones Dairy Farm turkey sausage links, 1 1/2 cups of cheese, any vegetables of your choice, 3 cups of low-fat cottage cheese.

Start by spraying each of the aluminum foil containers with non-stick spray. Then crack one whole egg into each container, add 1 1/2 cups of egg white, 1 1/2 cups of low-fat cottage cheese, and 1/4 cup of shredded cheese. Next, add a teaspoon of salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.

Whisk everything until well combined. You can add any veggies of your choice; Johnny opts for bell peppers and onions. “Adding vegetables to your dishes is a great way to increase the volume without compromising calories,” he notes.

Next, microwave some turkey sausages; he went with 24 links of Jones Dairy Turkey sausage. Then add each link to the container.

Finally, transfer the containers into the oven at 400 degrees for 35 minutes. You can garnish with green onion for more color and flavor.

This breakfast has about 450 calories and 48 grams of protein.

Weight Loss Benefits

This simple and fun recipe is perfect for meal prep and also helps with fat loss for a few reasons.

Using turkey sausage, low-fat cottage cheese, and egg white reduces saturated fat content, making it a heart-healthy and waist-friendly option. The inclusion of vegetables like bell peppers and onions adds fiber, vitamins, and minerals without a significant calorie increase, supporting digestion and overall health. These bowls are also easy to prepare in advance for those who have busy schedules.
