McDonald’s Collectible Cups caused quite the stir with customers this summer, and now the Chicago-based food chain is tapping into that fervor yet again with a new collaboration of collection-worthy McCafé cups through a partnership with NFT-turned-lifestyle company Doodles.

The ‘GM Spread Joy’ campaign for holiday this year features a line of Doodle-decorated coffee cups that can be redeemed when you purchase a hot drink through their mobile app from Nov. 21. Here’s everything you need to know about the limited-edition cups and how to get your hands on them!

What Are Doodles?

Doodles is a lifestyle company that become popular because of their NFT avatars. The fun, colorful theme of the avatars plus the unique traits make them one of a kind. Members of the growing Doodles community often use them as their profile pictures online.

Pharrell Williams is the Chief Brand Officer of the company, and they've since expanded to live events and merchandise. Like the McDonald's collab!

Customers React With Excitement On Social Media

The company shared news of the McDonald's collab on X, formerly known as Twitter, on November 14th. "We’ve partnered with McDonalds to spread a little joy this holiday season," the announcement read. It has since garnered over 500K views.

The Doodles community was immediately fired up about the line, as revealed in the countless replies to just this Tweet.

'These look dope," wrote one user. "Those are so stinkin adorable," chimed another.

The NFT community seemed to approve, with user NFT1nsight stating: 'Simply mindblowing. I NEED!'

'This is clean, 10/10 execution," added another savvy design enthusiast.

"Beyond my expectations, well done!!" a user named credzilla added. We couldn't agree more!

How To Get Your Hands On The Cups

McDonald's released the news to their social channels on Nov. 14th as well. After the date of the launch passed, customers wrote on the post that they were not finding the cups at their local McDonald's locations.

Here's exactly how to claim your Doodles gift, according to the company. First, using the mobile app, purchase your McCafe hot drink. Then, check your email for the confirmation and sign up for the Doodles Stoodio. Then, "claim your pack" to reveal your ticket and digital apparel, aka the cups.
