McDonald's has got it goin' on. The fast food chain is home to so many iconic menu items and has become everyone's go-to for every meal. Now, Mickey D's is changing things up with an incredible new menu item. It's putting a fresh new spin on a classic dessert and we cannot wait to get our hands on it. Dying to know what is it? Okay, we'll tell you. It's lava cake!

Yup, you read that correctly. McDonald's will now be selling lava cakes!! Amazing, right? Mickey D's has transformed its Signature Apple Pie into a chocolatey lava cake. Like the apple pie, the exterior crust is a fried and and flakey shell, only now, it's chocolate-flavored! And on the inside, there's an ooey-gooey chocolate inside that looks super yummy.

See, we weren't kidding! It looks so delicious, doesn't it? McDonald's new lava cakes joined the iconic menu earlier this month and it has been receiving quite the fanfare. "People on social media are photographing it like crazy. Since the $2 pies launched earlier this month, there has been no shortage of mid-bite shorts clogging up Instagram," says Fox News.
Unfortunately, there's a catch. These delectable cakes are currently only being offered in South Korea. So, you're going to have to travel pretty far to try one of these bad boys.
What a bummer! While there's no word of the lava cakes joining McDonald's U.S. menu, we're still very excited about this new dessert. Hopefully, we'll be seeing Mickey D's lava cakes very soon. But until then, we'll just have to keep drooling at Instagram pics of them.
