Meghan Markle Faces Potential $5M Loss On 'As Ever' Products
While Meghan Markle certainly does a great job marketing her products, describing one of her honey products as "grounding flavor with gentle sweetness" and one of her strawberry jams as "the simple pleasure of fresh fruit at its peak," there are still lots of jars available for purchase. While she may hope that her stock of $32 honey and $12 jam sells out by their expiration date, it's certainly not a guarantee.
According to Daily Mail, Markle has until next summer to completely sell out of her stock, otherwise their expiration dates will pass and she'll be unable to legally sell them. This comes after Markle made the decision to expand her business. Last August, after selling out of her products launch after launch, she expanded dramatically.
"Suddenly the conversation goes from, at the start of this year, talking about a few thousand jars and lids, to we need to do a purchase order of a million," Meghan told Bloomberg. "That’s a huge jump in just a few months of starting a business." Was it too big of a jump?
