Social Media Calls Meghan Markle A ‘Fraud’ For Claiming She Grew ‘Out Of Season’ Produce In Her Garden: ‘Someone Made A Run To Whole Foods’

Meghan Markle is digging her heels into her new lifestyle brand, As Ever, the aesthetic of which perfectly matches her new Netflix show, With Love, Meghan. The woman has a brand and is sticking to it, but fans are calling her out for faking authenticity after she posted a photo of her “garden haul” on Instagram. Viewers were quick to point out that most of the produce she claimed to have grown in her garden is out of season. Keep reading for more information.
Artfully arranged in a shabby chic woven basket, Meghan’s supposed garden haul includes leeks, corn, broccoli, squash, red bell peppers, lettuce, and carrots. The Duchess snapped a photo of her dog, Mia, checking out the produce and posted it on Instagram with the caption, “The unofficial quality inspector of this morning’s garden haul,” implying that she picked those vegetables from her Southern California garden.
For most fans, the photo was a bit too curated, and they were quick to point out that the vegetables had not a speck of dirt on them and haul features produce that isn’t in season. Though Meghan has the comments turned off on @AsEverOfficial’s Instagram account, fans found other ways to let their skepticism be heard.
