Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Smile For Cameras While Watching The NBA All-Star Game
Over the weekend, numerous stars of all calibers arrived in Los Angeles, California, to watch the 75th National Basketball Association's 75th All-Star game, which features some of the league's top players as they compete in games and showcase the best of the best.
Lots of celebrities stepped out for the games this year, from Barack and Michelle Obama to one of the world's other most trending couples, Prince Harry and wife, Meghan Markle. The couple took a break from some of their ongoing individual projects, like charity work and her As Ever brand, to watch the athletes compete, and in numerous photographs were seen cozying up and smiling by the court.
For their social media, the NBA's Instagram team had a media person take a casual yet up-close video of the pair sitting together and enjoying the game. In it, Meghan can be seen smiling for the camera as Harry pays attention to the game off to the side, prompting her to squeeze his arm to get his attention, and they both smiled and waved before the Spare author quickly turns back to the game. Fans React To The Clip Of Harry & Meghan And Accuse Her Of 'Controlling' Him
The video had some fans of the royal family and the headline-making couple gushing over their relationship, but numerous other internet users felt that there was something 'off' about it. Ever since their move to the United States, there's been a lot of speculation around the Suits alum wanting to 'control' or 'pose' her husband for public appearances, and some internet users feel this video was an example of that.
On platforms like Instagram, they left comments about the Duchess of Sussex being a bit too 'smothering' during their interaction on the basketball court.
"Is there a picture or video of her not smothering him?" asked an Instagram user. "Because I've not seen it."
"Poor, poor Harry!" wrote a user. "She's holding him so tight."
One Instagram user observed the couple's "body language" and felt that "she wants the cameras, not Harry."
"She's so controlling!" commented a user.
We'll be very curious to see what public events lie ahead for the Harry & Meghan stars, but for now, it looks like they're not as afraid to come face-to-face with cameras.
