If you know anything about Meghan Markle, you're probably familiar with her past in the entertainment industry, as she first became famous as an actress. One of her most notable roles was Rachel Zane in Suits, a legal drama that became so popular that a recent spin-off was created.
She famously left the show seven years ago, after announcing that she was engaged to Prince Harry, entering an entirely new chapter of her career. Since then, she's stepped down from her royal duties alongside her husband, left the UK, and has been living in California with him and her two young children. Meghan already shocked the world when she took on a new career path as a lifestyle guru, starting her As Ever brand, but it looks like she's also ready to return to her calling.
The mom-of-two was spotted in California on a film set this week, reportedly filming a scene for Close Personal Friends, a romantic comedy that follows a couple who befriend a celebrity couple while vacationing in Santa Barbara. According to insiders, Meghan "has a small part."
"She seemed very relaxed and happy," a source told People. "She introduced herself to everyone and was very sweet and down-to-earth."

Although sources are saying Meghan will not appear in the film for very long, but rather it's just a fun way for her to dip her toe back into acting without committing to a long, intense project, people were still surprised, as many were under the impression that she was done with acting for good, especially since all of her drama with the royal family and the media.
So far, the only series she's gotten really involved in is her lifestyle-themed Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, which has sparked a lot of controversy, as not only did it get lower ratings than expected, but viewers were also slamming the Suits alum for her "inauthentic" presence on screen. Additionally, the backlash caused Netflix to renegotiate its $100M deal with her and Prince Harry, and while they're still working together, reports have noted it's under a less lucrative situation.
Therefore, when internet users heard the news of her new movie appearance, not only were they surprised, but there were some who were not happy to hear about it.
