Reporters State Meghan Markle Would Only Return To The UK If She's Granted 'Automatic Security'
Last year, the world was in shock and awe as they watched Prince Harry return to his home country from his current home in America, where he lives with his wife, Meghan, and their two young children, Archie and Lilibet. He's gone overseas for a variety of reasons, from going to court for both his royal security appeal and current lawsuit against UK tabloids, as well as charitable events.
Although each visit seems to be tied to a specific reason, many royal family fans and experts are also speculating that plans for the controversial couple to reconcile with the rest of the monarchy, especially since the prince reportedly sat down for tea with his father for the first time in a long time towards the end of last year. However, now that there's a chance his increased security could be reinstated, there's been a change in tune.
Still, the Duchess of Sussex will allegedly not be going back to the UK beside her husband if there aren't "many reassurances" that she'd be as safe as possible.
"I feel talks are underway to open the doors for Harry and Meghan to return to Britain as part of King Charles' legacy to unite the family while he has the power and strength to do so," royal expert Ian Pelham Turner told the above publication. "Meghan will want many assurances, especially about how she is treated and how she can bring her own individuality with her. Security is one of the biggest issues. I see encouraging signs that the heated moments of the past have cooled. I also believe Harry has asked King Charles to open the Invictus Games."
