Meghan Markle recently posted a brand new picture and video of her adorable four-year-old daughter Princess Lilibet, who she shares with Prince Harry, on Instagram.

And as always – perhaps because Prince Harry has repeatedly expressed his desire to keep his children out of the public eye – her face was strategically hidden, which has therefore sparked immense backlash online.

Meghan Markle Shares New Picture And Video Of Princess Lilibet

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, shared the content on her @meghan Instagram account on International Day of the Girl on October 11th, captioning it: “To all the girls – this world is yours. Do everything you can to protect your rights, use your voice, support each other. We will do the same for you. It’s your right and our responsibility. Go get ’em girl!” She wrapped it up with: “Happy International Day of the Girl.”

The short clip showed little Lilibet running barefoot through the garden at the family’s Montecito, California home, where she lives with her parents, Prince Harry and Meghan, and her older brother, Prince Archie, 6. She wore a light gray co-ord and had her signature red hair pulled into a low ponytail.

In the accompanying photo, the mother and daughter were pictured from behind so as to shield Lilibet’s face. The As Ever founder wore light trousers and a loose, pale shirt while holding her daughter’s hand and looking lovingly at her. Lilibet sported pale leggings and a bright pink T-shirt in the picture, with her fiery red curls tumbling down her back.

Internet Reactions

While the comment section of the former Suits actress's post was turned off, as always, fans and critics alike still found other places to share their thoughts. And as expected, many people took issue with what they see as a contradiction between the couple's calls for privacy, and their continued posting about their family life – even if the kids' faces are hidden.

"Who is she kidding? Every posted pic of her children never show their faces," slammed one person on YouTube. They added: "Is this to spark our curiosity? If you want privacy… why post, why constantly dress and attend functions where you receive notoriety and headlines? Is it no wonder why the public believes you and Harry are phonies?"

"She shares photos of her children with the world – yet keeps them away from all their extended families and relatives," observed a second, while a third bluntly called the couple "hypocrites." "She's always acting," criticized a fourth, as a fifth said: "Oh give me a BREAK. Another PR effort."

"Lying grifters. Campaigns to save children from online harm yet here she is using her kids' faceless pictures to get clicks and money," slammed a sixth particularly harsh critic. "Every time they have bad press, out come the kids," they added, while a seventh fan referenced her recent attendance at the Balenciaga show for Paris Fashion Week: "Attends a fashion event with a brand that definitely does NOT let children be children."
