On Thursday, First Lady Melania Trump attended a meeting with the White House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence Education—and once again, she leaned into her go-to style of the second term: tailored suits.
This time, however, she opted for a more relaxed take. Instead of her usual fitted silhouettes, she chose a gray pinstripe ensemble from Max Mara, featuring baggy, wide-leg trousers and a slightly oversized blazer. A crisp white shirt anchored the look, while the high-waisted pants were cinched with a slim white belt and paired with classic high-heeled pumps. She completed the outfit with her hair in soft waves styled into a side part and a radiant, polished makeup look.

Melania Trump Can't Stop Wearing Suits
This follows multiple looks of Melania opting for suits this term, a change from midi dresses during the first term.
In April at the 112th annual First Lady’s Luncheon at the Congressional Club in Washington, D.C., she wore a sharp ivory-colored suit by Dior, which consisted of wide-leg trousers and a fitted white blazer. In March at the U.S. Capitol, the mom-of-one looked so chic in a three-piece suit by Ralph Lauren, which consisted of tan trousers, a matching tan structured blazer, and a tan vest.
Trump stepped out in the latest Max Mara pantsuit at a White House event on artificial intelligence, which drew some of the tech world’s most powerful figures. Among those in attendance were OpenAI founder Sam Altman, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, and Apple CEO Tim Cook.
Notably absent was Elon Musk, the Tesla, X, and SpaceX chief, who revealed in a social media post that he “was invited, but unfortunately could not attend.” His absence comes after a very public falling out with the president earlier this summer.

"The robots are here. Our future is no longer science fiction," the first lady said at the AI gathering. "During this primitive stage, it is our duty to treat AI as we would our own children—empowering, but with watchful guidance."
This outing marked the end of Melania’s two-month break from the public eye. While she only occasionally joins the president at official events, she is already scheduled to make another high-profile appearance later this month during their visit to the U.K., where they will meet with King Charles.
The British prime minister said of the upcoming visit by the president and Melania, “This is really special. This has never happened before. This is unprecedented.”
“I think that just symbolizes the strength of the relationship between us. This is a very special letter. I think the last state visit was a tremendous success,” the prime minister said. “His Majesty the King wants to make this even better than that, so this is truly historic. An unprecedented second state visit.”
