AI has been a top priority for the Melania during her second term as First Lady. She is focusing on preparing children for a technology-driven future through initiatives like the "Presidential AI Challenge" for K-12 students. She emphasizes using AI as a creative tool rather than a replacement for human thought. Leading a task force dedicated to AI education and workforce readiness, Melania advocates for "human-centric innovation," encouraging youth to leverage AI for imagination and creativity while maintaining critical thinking skills.
Opening her speech on January 16, the mother of one said, “We are living in the Age of Imagination. The Age of Imagination is a new era, powered by artificial intelligence, where one’s curiosity can be satisfied almost magically, in seconds. You are fortunate to have the capability to fulfill your dreams through the power of learning, with AI serving as the primary engine for creative exploration.”
She continued, “I encourage you to be stubbornly curious, think outside the box, and question everything. Creators must stretch their minds to think differently. The world of possibility is endless, and AI is extending the conceptual in ways never dreamed of before. In the past, memorization unlocked opportunity. Today, your curiosity will open new doors to meaning, innovation, and leadership. But we must remember, although artificial intelligence can generate images and information, only humans can generate meaning and purpose. Deep thinking, patience, and staying curious are where purpose begins."

In addition to her work on AI, Melania is preparing for the release of her upcoming documentary. Directed by Brett Ratner and produced by Amazon MGM Studios, the film offers an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the 20 days leading up to Donald Trump’s second presidential inauguration in January 2025. The 55-year-old serves as an executive producer through her company Muse Films, with significant editorial input.
A gala premiere is set for January 29, 2026, at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., with a global theatrical release following on January 30, 2026. The documentary will later be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
