A video of Melania Trump dodging a kiss from Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Thursday, July 18th has gone viral for obvious reasons.
Although the former First Lady made a rare appearance at the political event to support her husband after his failed assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania one week prior, she still didn’t want to receive a kiss from him in public, thus resulting in another viral moment than will no doubt live in everybody’s minds for a very long time.

The former president was joined at the event by many members of his family, including daughter Ivanka Trump and wife Melania Trump, the latter of whom wore a striking red Dior skirt suit.
Melania seemed to show some signs of affection towards her husband, who is also the father of her 18-year-old son Barron Trump, on several occasions throughout the event, including occasionally touching his arm. This is a huge step as far as their public displays of affection go, as Melania has been known to keep her distance from her husband. However, receiving a kiss from him seemed like one step too far…

As expected, the comments section did not disappoint! "That was odd," thought one X user, followed by the sideways crying laughing emoji. "She looks like she'd rather be anywhere else on the planet, besides there at that moment," observed another. "I feel bad for her – she's stuck trying to do the right thing, but really just wants to be left alone," speculated another user, as someone else said: "She looks so upset."
Other X users thought there may have been s valid reason for Melania dodging her husband's kiss. "If you knew ANYTHING about Melania, you'd know she doesn't like PDA!" exclaimed one user.
