Melania Dozes At Trump’s Birthday Parade
Though Trump made it a point that they needed to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the establishment of the Army—and what better occasion than on his birthday, right?—it was likely one of the most drab parades America has seen, with The New York Times reporting that there were no loudspeakers along the parade route, so the even was so quiet that all that could be heard was the squeaking of tanks as they chugged along.
So quiet that guests were nearly falling asleep! Secretary of State Marco Rubio couldn’t suppress a yawn, and Melania Trump closed her eyes more than a few times. Even Donald himself didn’t look particularly happy, though perhaps that’s because no one wanted to come to his birthday party (notably, his daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared).

On X, formerly Twitter, social media users thought the outcome of the whole ordeal was hilarious. "Trump looking absolutely inconsolable at this fascist-themed 79th birthday party which no one turned up to other than those who had to because he's their boss," one person wrote alongside a video of a particularly miserable-looking Trump and bored-looking Melania.
"Meanwhile, at Trump's parade, Melania and Rubio having a hard time trying not to fall asleep!" laughed another user.
