Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth announced their divorce in August 2019 after ten years of being romantically linked and only 6 months of marriage.
Since then, Miley has stayed pretty open about their relationship, but Liam has kept his own feelings private until recently.
Now, a source is telling Us Weekly that the Hunger Games actor has a “low opinion” of his ex.
Keep reading for all the details!
A source explained to Us, "Liam kind of has a low opinion of Miley at this point. He was really hurt by their split."
Specifically, it seems like what happened after their split left Hemsworth feeling hurt.
Miley moved on quickly from their divorce--first with a fling with Kaitlynn Carter and then with a more serious relationship with Cody Simpson. And Cyrus did not hide these new relationships, opting instead to post about them publicly on social media.
According to the insider, this behavior hurt her ex-husband: "Miley and Liam haven’t talked much since their divorce. Liam was hurt by Miley moving on with new love interests shortly after they broke up."
Although Liam might have a "low opinion" of Cyrus now, the source insists that the actor has been able to move on.
“[He] has had the support of his family to help him move on," the source explained.
The insider continued, "Liam has been trying to be as private as possible and respectful about their relationship and breakup, and it’s a shame to him and his family that certain aspects about his and Miley’s relationship have been made public. He’s a very traditional and good guy and was very hurt by the way specific instances played out in front of the world."
Although Liam might have preferred a more private separation, it seems that now--a year after first announcing their split--the actor is content with new girlfriend, Gabriella Brooks.
