Miley Cyrus Performs A 'Hannah Montana' Song During Her Set At The Chateau Marmont
On Tuesday, May 27th, Spotify hosted a private concert for the Disney Channel alum and a lucky group of her fans at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in West Hollywood. The singer has a history of performing in the historic hotel, recently holding another intimate performance there earlier this year.
The show was held in anticipation of Something Beautiful, her ninth and highly anticipated studio album, which was released on Friday, May 30th. Prior to the official release date, she put out a few successful singles, including "End of the World" and "Something Beautiful."
At the hotel, she stepped out in a gorgeous, sparkling silver mini dress and sang the new songs off her album, giving the excited audience early access to what some fans are calling "the album of the summer."
Making things even more special, she decided to perform other hit songs from her discography, including the Grammy-award-winning record "Flowers." Then, there was one moment where Miley began joking about "not" singing "The Climb," which is one of the most well-known songs from her time on Hannah Montana, the show where she had her big break.
The song, which is from Hannah Montana: The Movie, is a beloved track, and seeing her fans react to her mentioning it must have been what inspired her to sing a portion of it during the intimate show this week.

The Internet Says Miley Singing 'The Climb' During Her Album Release Show 'Healed' Them
After making a snide remark about refusing to sing "The Climb," the 32-year-old's fans began to freak out as she started singing it while her piano player accompanied her with a few chords. The impromptu performance had her audience burst out in cheers as she sang through the first verse and chorus.
Many of them sang along with her, as it likely took them back to their younger days. Not long after breaking out into the song from her Disney days, a couple who attended the show surprised the singer with a proposal in the crowd, making the event extra special.
Once footage from the concert and Miley singing "The Climb" was uploaded to social media platforms like TikTok, fans and internet users who weren't at the event joined in on the excitement and left a series of positive comments.
"This healed me," wrote a fan on TikTok.
"We've all been waiting for this since 2016," wrote another.
"The little girl in me is screaming," added a fan.
Another fan wrote that they could "cry" anytime they listen to the throwback song.
"It's so beautiful and brings back memories," they continued. "I just absolutely love this."
More of Miley's fans can enjoy her new tunes now that Something Beautiful is out and features 13 tracks. We'll have to wait and see if she feels up for performing the songs on an upcoming tour for more meaningful moments with her fans like this one.
