Miley Cyrus Slammed For Ignoring Fans At Record Signing
In the now-viral clip, which can be seen above and on Reddit, the three-time Grammy winner is chatting with iconic nineties supermodel Naomi Campbell, who she worked with on the new single. The pair are shown to be talking among themselves and ignoring fans who are approaching them with their records, which has understandably not gone down well on social media.
“Big fan of Miley but this gave me the ick,” slammed one Reddit user. “She’s not even acknowledging the fans even though it’s clearly a sign + photo op. Not looking at the camera when the photographer is counting down and not even looking at the fans,” they continued.

"I'd be so disappointed if I waited in line for someone I was excited for just to be straight up dismissed and ignored," agreed a second. "Wow! That's so inconsiderate & rude imo," added a third, as a fourth echoed: "This is just rude behavior."
"They bought her album and her behavior towards them is so inconsiderate and dismissive," added a fifth fan, as a sixth thought: "You can see the disappointment in the fans' faces when they realize she's not paying them any attention."
"Never meet your heroes, kids," advised a seventh, which an eighth agreed with, adding: "This is why I'll avoid meeting my favorite celebrities if I got the chance to. Don't want to be disappointed."
Miley Cyrus Responds To Backlash
Miley, who is usually very friendly with her fans at signings, seemingly responded to the backlash in an Instagram post featuring pictures and videos from the event on June 24th. According to the "Flowers" singer, she and Naomi were only supposed to be signing limited vinyl copies of their new single and not posing for photos with fans, due to the sheer volume of fans who showed up.
"I wanted to gift my Smilers an exclusive experience & unreleased vinyl to thank you for the love you've shown me in the UK over the years. I saw so many familiar faces & met some sweet new ones," the "Wrecking Ball" singer captioned the carousel, which featured several videos of herself and Naomi signing records for fans.
"The record store requested no photos due to the unexpected last minute turn out but we knew the night needed to be captured," Miley continued, adding: "Thank you @vijatm for snapping those in the moment shots. To everyone who came out to celebrate our single, we love you."
