Most people think the secret to getting thicker, fuller hair is finding the right product or supplement to fix it, but dermatologists say the solution is a lot simpler than that. Forget about fancy shampoos and hair serums, the key to preventing hair loss starts with your diet.

If you struggle with thinning hair or complete hair loss, it’s important to know you’re not alone in this issue. Hair loss is common among both men and women and can start as early as your 20s. But you will be happy to learn that experts say one of the best ways to stimulate hair regrowth is by adding carrot juice into your diet daily. Sounds too easy, right?

Here’s why:

Carrot juice is loaded with hair-healthy vitamins and minerals that are essential for preventing hair loss and encouraging new hair growth.

"Carrots have a high concentration of vitamin A, which helps promote hair and scalp health,” explains Lori Shemek, health coach and author of “Fire-Up Your Fat Burn.” Just adding a glass a day into your diet or making sure to incorporate more carrots into your meals can ensure you’re not missing any important nutrients for healthy hair.

“A deficiency in this vitamin can lead to hair loss as well. Vitamin A plays a role in sebum production, much like spinach, and a diet rich in carrots can lead to faster hair growth through healthy sebum production,” said Shemek.
