Gal Meets Glam just unveiled a sneak peek of her upcoming dress collection and we already want to buy everything. Julia Engel, Charleston, South Carolina-based fashion blogger, is launching her first debut clothing line on April 20 and it will be available shop.galmeetsglam.com and Nordstrom. The line will be named for her popular style blog, Gal Meets Glam.
As an influencer, you know you’re doing something right when your brand hits the racks of Nordstrom, one of the leading retailers in the world. Julia, a style influencer and owner of GalMeetsGlam.com, has over 1 million followers on Instagram to prove it.
With only a week and a half left until launch, Julia has begun giving us sneak peeks at her highly anticipated Nordstrom line. The Gal Meets Glam Collection will include a variety of classic, feminine dresses–Julia’s favorite.
“Feminine Dresses that take you places. We’re redefining the way women wear dresses, one style at a time,” said Julia in a press release. “Wearing dresses isn’t just about the fabric or cut, it’s about the feeling I get when I wear one. From the moment I slip it on, style and sophistication become effortless. My workday or date-night is instantly romanticized by the confidence I feel walking out the door.”
From what she’s revealed of the collection so far, it will feature pretty pastels, girly silhouettes, intricate detailing, and florals. Everything from casual work dresses to cocktail and wedding guest dresses will be included in the new line.
“My inspiration came from my love of travel and adventure, but mostly from what I found missing in the market. It shouldn’t be difficult to find feminine dresses that inspire.”
The Gal Meets Glam x Nordstrom’s price point will start at $130 and max out around $200. While we won’t deny that the collection will cost you a pretty penny, the dress styles are timeless and will be able to be worn for years to come. Think of them as an investment!
But wait, there’s more great news! Unlike many other blogger collaborations, the Gal Meets Glam Collection is a standalone brand. This means it will not only be available for a limited amount of time. Julia details that while some pieces may be limited edition, she plans to launch new dresses every single month, meaning the possibilities are endless for Gal Meets Glam.
“Instead of launching a new collection each season, we’re doing things a little differently by coming out with a new collection each month. Yes, new dresses every single month! That’s a lot of dresses to design and a majority of my time as creative director has been dedicated to it. It’s been without a doubt, the most rewarding experience. It’s challenging and exciting and feels so, so right.”
For now, Julia’s plan is to only sell dresses in the Gal Meets Glam collection, as they are her passion and go-to style of clothing. One can only hope that she decides to extend the brand later on!
“As you know, the collection is only dresses. In creating this new brand I set off to do one thing right and do it really well. It was never even a question about what it would be, of course, it was dresses.”
All dresses in the line will be available in inclusive sizes 00-20, as Julia stated, “ We wanted as many people as possible to be able to shop from our line so size inclusivity was something that was extremely important to us.”
The collection will be available online at shop.galmeetsglam.com and Nordstrom.com and in-store at select Nordstrom locations, where you can try on the Gal Meets Glam dresses in person. The collection will also ship internationally to over 200 countries worldwide.
The Gal Meets Glam x Nordstrom collection will hit 45 Nordstrom stores across the U.S., as well as Nordstroms.com, on April 20. Needless to say, we know what this month’s paycheck is going towards!
