If you’ve been in withdrawal since the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale ended in August, have no fear because the department store has even more tricks up it’s sleeve this year: from seasonal events like the Summer and Fall sales, to holiday-shopping-friendly events like Cyber Week and their bi-annual Half-Yearly event that takes place after Christmas, there is still so much to look forward to in 2019!
A rep for the store has confirmed the next sale date with SheFinds (it’s SO soon!), and given us an indication of when the rest of the year’s biggest events will be. Confirmation of dates will come about two months prior to the start of event, so all the dates below are tentative!
In case you missed it, Nordstrom sales typically feature up to 40% off brands like Nike, Topshop, Madewell and others. Aka, they’re really good and you don’t want to miss them. Here’s everything you need to know:
Nordstrom Summer Sale 2019
This event, also known as the Labor Day Sale, is happening so soon. A rep for the brand confirmed that the sale will start on Friday, August 30th and run through Sunday, September 9th.
Nordstrom Fall Sale 2019
The next Nordstrom event after the summer sale is the Fall Sale which will take place around Friday, November 8th, ending on or around Tuesday, November 19th. Let the countdown begin!
Nordstrom Cyber 6 2019
The week of Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday is known as “Cyber 6” at Nordstrom, and their big event for it will begin sometime around on Wednesday, November 27th (pre-Thanksgiving) and end on Monday, December 2nd (Cyber Monday). ‘Tis the most wonderful time of the year!
Nordstrom December Half Yearly Sale 2019
The bi-annual Half Yearly sale will happen again in December. Our spokesperson says that sale is expected to start the day after Christmas, Thursday, December 26th through sometime around Thursday, January 2nd, 2020. The perfect way to ring in the New Year!
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020
Yippee–it’s never too soon to start thinking about the next Anniversary sale. The #NSale is the retailer’s biggest event of the year, and this landing page confirms that the next one will take place in July 2020.
Nordy Club
The best way to know about sales is to be signed up as a Nordy Club member and opt in for marketing communications, the rep says. You don’t have to be a Nordy Club member to shop the sales, however, and in fact, they don’t offer early access for Nordy Club members at this time.
What To Buy
The trick to shopping a Nordstrom sale is to look for items and designers that are rarely marked down. The retailer always has a robust Sale section; for these special sale events they add hundreds of additional items at deeper mark downs. These are the items you want to snatch up quickly. Here’s how to score big:
Sort by ‘New Markdowns’
You want to shop items that weren’t already sitting in the Sale section before the promotion went live. The trick is to sort by “New Markdowns” to find the items that were on full price just one day earlier. The brands that rarely go on sale include Acne, Paige, Rag & Bone, Stuart Weitzman, and others. Check out what our editors have bought. You’ll want to disregard anything marked as a “Price Match” as those are not the best deals.
Under $50 finds
There are also great deals in the range of $30-$50 from brands like Bp. and Leith that are typically on sale at Nordstrom, but are given an additional markdown for the event. Thanks to this extra percent off, these everyday basics become available at undeniable prices. Who doesn’t need a cold shoulder top for under $50?
