Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are already facing backlash for seemingly letting 12-year-old daughter North West grow up too fast, with concerned fans previously begging them to “let her be a kid” for as long as possible.

And their firstborn is once again making headlines, after some pictures of her celebrating her 12th birthday on a yacht in Los Cabos, Mexico went viral…

In the pap photos (check them out here) the 44-year-old Skims founder can be seen on the yacht wearing some skin-tight high-waisted snakeskin leggings, teamed with a long-sleeved snakeskin shirt tied up to expose her snakeskin bikini (do you see the theme here?) But it was her daughter‘s look that commanded the most attention on this occasion!

North was papped in some black and white pinstripe trousers, teamed with a bold blue low-cut top and layers of necklaces of bracelets, which many people online thought made her look “way older,” to quote one Instagram user, than her age. And she sought inspiration from aunt Kylie Jenner‘s ‘King Kylie’ era by rocking teal-colored hair, which again, caused some controversy online.
