The SKIMS mogul, 44, discussed her thoughtful decision on the March 13th episode of The Kardashians, offering a glimpse into her plans for this piece. This follows reports that Kanye is “sadly not around very much” for his kids, leaving Kim to handle parenting largely on her own.

As for why she's gifting her ring to her daughter North, 11, the SKKN entrepreneur, who had her daughter just four months before the Yeezy founder proposed, explained, "Because she was with me when I got engaged."
Kim continued, noting, "She held it after and I took a photo." The reality star mentioned that the ring was the sole piece of jewelry absent during the infamous 2016 robbery at her Paris hotel.
She explained that she left the ring behind due to Kanye, her spouse from 2014 until 2022. The former couple also share two sons; Saint, 9 and Psalm, 5, as well as daughter Chicago, 7.
This comes after an insider revealed in October 2024 that Kim was essentially a "single mom" and that Kanye was not spending as much time with his four children.
As per Ok!, the insider said, "She's pretty much a single mom. Although she has help, it's still a lot of work for her to balance and coordinate everything."
They continued, "Kim's life is around her kids' schedules. When they are in school, she works. When they are off, she's very much focused on being a mom." The tipster also shared that Kim "is not even dating anyone now. It's all about work and the kids."
