North West Posts Several TikToks Before Attending Coachella With Her Friends
During the second weekend of Coachella, the 11-year-old caught the internet's attention when she posted several TikTok videos on her and her mom's shared account. One was of her and her friends pretending to be asleep with facemasks on and their music festival outfits laid out on their sheets, with the caption reading, "The night before Coachella."
In addition to the anticipation-themed video, North posted two additional TikToks, which included footage of her and her two young friends dancing around in their dark-colored Coachella outfits, with one of the captions reading, "Coachella Day 2." It quickly became clear to fans of the Kardashian family that the young prodigy would be attending the music festival.
Several members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan have stepped out for the famous outdoor music festival for years, including North's aunts Kendall and Kylie Jenner, who always manage to start trends with their Coachella outfits.
While her mom, the KKW Beauty founder, has frequently attended Coachella in the past, fans of hers were surprised when reports came out that she was not in attendance at this year's festival alongside her daughter.
The Internet Slams Kim Kardashian For Allegedly Allowing North To Attend Coachella Without Her
While there is plenty of footage of Kylie Jenner dancing around at Coachella with her boyfriend, Timothee Chalamet, and Kendall Jenner promoting her tequila brand at the festival, there was no sign of the SKIMS founder at this year's festivities.
This was surprising to fans, especially after it had become evident that North West would be in attendance. After seeing North's videos and reading reports that she was there with her friends and an alleged security guard for supervision, fans took to social media platforms like Reddit to discuss the matter.
"I have a son who is almost the exact same age as North, and I seriously don't think he would be able to manage an event like that without supervision or some help," wrote a Reddit user.
"I know my daughter would never have been able to handle that," commented another.
"I think these little girls are way too grown up for their age."
"Sorry to sound like a regressive aunty, but she's too young to be dressing and putting makeup on like that," wrote a Reddit user in a threat that has since been deleted.
"I wonder what goes on in Kim's head when she indirectly lets her daughter act and look like an adult."
More Reddit users wrote that the situation was "unbelievable," and another noted that while they were relieved to hear that a reported security guard was looking after North, the group was still "too young for this sort of thing."
Although Kim has yet to comment on the controversial incident and explain why she felt she didn't need to be with her daughter during the popular music festival, she appeared unbothered by the negative comments as she shared photos from her Easter celebrations and family vacation.
