Oprah showcased her continued weight loss during a recent appearance on CBS Mornings to promote Ocean Vuong’s The Emperor of Gladness for her Book Club.
The media mogul turned heads in a striking turmeric yellow power suit, featuring a double-breasted blazer worn open over what appeared to be wide-leg linen trousers, subtly creased for a relaxed touch. She layered the bold look with a sleek, black turtleneck underneath, one of her statement pieces.

Oprah Gushes Over The Emperor of Gladness by Ocean Vuong
Her audience was also deeply touched by her May book club selection, as The Color Purple actress shared the heartfelt reasons behind choosing Vuong's novel.
She wrote in her Instagram caption: “The Emperor of Gladness” begins on a summer evening in the post-industrial town of East Gladness, Connecticut, where nineteen-year-old Hai stands on the edge of a bridge ready to jump. An elderly widow suffering from dementia intervenes, and the unlikely pair form a life-altering bond. It’s a stunning examination of the many ways love, labor, and loneliness show up in life."
“Ocean draws from his own personal experiences of being born in Vietnam, raised in a working-class family in Connecticut, and working as a fast-food server as inspiration for this story, which features an unlikely cast of truly unforgettable characters,” Winfrey wrote in a statement. “This award-winning author and acclaimed poet has written, in stunning prose, a heartfelt and powerful examination of those living on the fringes of society and the unique challenges they face to survive and thrive.”
