Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have reportedly called it quits after almost ten years together on and off. They are seemingly trying to amicably co-parent their four-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom at the moment, but we don’t yet know what their long-term plans are.
Some fans believe this could be the final chapter for Katy and Orlando, while others are still holding out hope for a reconciliation down the line. But what really led to the breakup? Keep reading for more info…
Orlando Bloom Reportedly 'Grew Tired' Of Constantly Consoling Katy Perry After Her Professional Projects Failed
According to reports, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 48, wasn't really that supportive throughout the 40-year-old "Roar" singer's latest career moves, including her controversial Blue Origin space flight with Lauren Sánchez Bezos, as well as her underperforming 143 album and the lukewarm reception to her Lifetimes world tour. And that, according to insiders, is one of the biggest reasons for them going their separate ways!
Although the Lord of the Rings alum was reportedly "sympathetic" about his fiancée's career not going the way she had hoped at first, he allegedly "grew tired of having to constantly console her," according to Star magazine.
The couple reportedly struggled to make their relationship work while also trying to make something of their respective careers, both of which weren't going the way they had planned…

"They were both chasing creative highs and hitting walls," an insider told Star. "He's been in a creative rut for a while," the insider continued, in reference to Bloom, who is apparently hoping to be cast in the upcoming Lord of the Rings sequel, The Hunt for Gollum. "He's been hustling hard for a hit movie after a quiet few years," the source confirmed.
Things seemingly got worse for Katy and her career after she quit American Idol and started making new music. Her decision to work with controversial producer Dr. Luke came with a wave of backlash, which only intensified the pressure on her home life with her fiancé. "The trolling she endured during that time was on another level. And that pressure bled into her home life with Orlando," the source said.
Bloom was also reportedly unimpressed with Katy's Blue Origin space flight, allegedly calling it a "bad idea" behind the scenes. The source went on: "Katy and Orlando were both so tightly wound. They started to bicker and it got worse and worse over time. It became borderline toxic."

Katy Perry's Friends Reportedly Think She's 'Better Off Without Him'
The Elizabethtown actor is seemingly already making the most of his newly single life, and was reportedly partying hard at Jeff Bezos' lavish wedding in Italy. He was reportedly spotted hugging a mystery woman (later identified as Katy's friend, stylist Jamie Mizrahi) in the back of a boat at Bezos' pre-wedding party, which Katy didn't attend due to touring in Australia.
"He's been pretty insensitive," a source told Star, adding: "Orlando's always been this way. He's a total flirt who can't really stop himself, especially now that he's officially single. Her friends are telling her she's better off without him."
