In the pursuit of achieving weight loss goals, many individuals turn to supplements to aid their journey. While a balanced diet and regular exercise remain cornerstones of any successful weight loss regimen, certain supplements can complement these efforts by supporting metabolism, curbing appetite, or enhancing fat burning.

Pharmacist Anya, who has over 232K followers on TikTok, revealed in a viral clip the supplements you can take to increase your metabolism and boost fat loss. Her choice of supplements are Cymbiotika’s Daily Metabolism Booster, and the reasons lie in their three natural ingredients they contain that Anya says “helps with metabolizing your fat and curbing your appetite,” oleoylethanolamide, huperzine A, and EGCG. Read on to find out why these ingredients are key for those on a weight loss journey.

Supplements For Weight Loss

“[These] contain three ingredients. Oleoylethanolamide is a natural molecule produced by the body that is involved in the regulation of body weight and appetite,” she reveals. It’s been studied for its potential to support weight loss by promoting feelings of fullness and reducing food intake.

“Oleoylethanolamide activates a protein involved in the metabolism of fat,” which she says can boost fat-burning and “a reduction in the storage of fat.”

The next ingredient is Huperzine A, a compound in the Chinese club moss plant. Anya says this is “commonly used as a cognitive enhancer and has also been studied for its potential weight loss effects.” It also increases “levels of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that is involved in appetite regulation.”

Last ingredient is one most people are familiar with thanks to green tea, EGCG! This is a “polyphenol found in green tea.” It’s been researched for its potential health benefits, including weight loss support. EGCG works by boosting metabolism and increasing fat oxidation, which can help the body burn more calories and fat.

“It also inhibits the enzyme that breaks down neropinephrine, a hormone that is involved in the body’s ability to burn fat. By inhibiting this enzyme, EGCG can increase levels of neropinephrine in the body,” therefore, increasing fat burning.

While weight loss supplements can be helpful in supporting weight loss efforts, it’s important to recognize that they are not a magic solution on their own. Exercise and a balanced diet play crucial roles in achieving and maintaining a healthy weight.
