Pink just opened up about her recent battle with coronavirus, reminding us that no one, not even celebrities are immune to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. She is one of several celebrities who has chosen to share her story, following others including Luke Bryant, Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks.

Despite the fact that vaccines have already been made available to all adults across the United States, the fact still remains that the virus can be deadly. And Pink has shared the details of her battle with the illness last spring, revealing that she actually believed she would die from it.

The singer, now 41, tested positive for coronavirus in April 2020, along with her young son Jameson who was only three years old at the time. Fortunately, Pink’s husband Carey Hart and their daughter Willow did not contract the virus.

"Battling COVID-19 along with my 3-year-old son was the most physically and emotionally challenging experience I have gone through as a mother," Pink wrote for NBC News last year. "Weeks after receiving our test results, my son was still ill and feverish. It was a terrifying time, not knowing what might come next."

Pink told Heart Radio that her battle with COVID-19 was so intense that she rewrote her will. She said, “As a parent, you think about, what am I leaving behind for my kids? What am I teaching them? Are they going to make it in this world? And what do I need to tell them if this is the last time I’m going to tell them anything?”

“At the point where i thought it was over for us, I called my best friend and said, ‘I just need you to tell Willow how much I love her,” Pink shared. She added that the ordeal was “really, really scary.”

Fortunately, Pink and Jameson ultimately pulled through and recovered from coronavirus. The singer has spent the past year supporting pandemic relief efforts. In April 2020, she donated $1 million to support Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund in Philadelphia and the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund.

She has also used her fame as a platform to bring awareness to the severity of the virus and ways to help others during this time.
