How Did Post Malone Lose 60 Lbs.?
During an appearance on SiriusXM's Howard Stern Show in October 2023, the "Sunflower" hitmaker recalled the moment he discovered that hot sauce has almost zero calories, which is why he then smothered many food items in it while he was on his weight loss journey.
Talking about the moment he began thinking about losing weight and discovering the weight loss benefits of hot sauce, the "I Had Some Help" hitmaker explained: "The first step was, I remember I went on tour, and I was like, you know what? I'm gonna eat grilled chicken, I'm gonna eat carrots, and I'm gonna have a little bit of white rice every night, with Buffalo sauce Or not Buffalo sauce – hot sauce has no calories in it."
He continued: "I was blown away! I was like wait, what the [expletive] is actually going on? Hot sauce has no calories in it, this [expletive] is sick! I get it!"
Post Malone Talks About Cutting Fried Food And Soda From His Diet
The "Pour Me a Drink" artist continued to tell Stern about how his eating habits changed dramatically while he was on tour, saying; "So I remember on tour, I stopped eating a lot of fried stuff, a lot of pizza, all that stuff, because usually at the end of the day after a show, you're done, you finish up around two o'clock, you don't really know what city you're in, you don't really know where you are. You're just in the bus, so it's like, what's really open? And it's always like, you know, greasy stuff."
Cutting out the fried food from his diet while he was on tour made a huge difference to the singer, who added: "I was like, okay, let's just try to do this. And I lost 20 lbs. doing that, and I was like, let's keep going, let's keep building, and we just kept [expletive] rocking and rolling."
In April that same year, the "Circles" hitmaker shared with his fans that his newfound motivation to prioritize his wellbeing stemmed from the birth of his daughter in May 2022, which prompted him to alter his dietary habits.
During his appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast in August 2023, Post shared that cutting down on his soda intake also played a huge role in his successful weight loss. So less soda and more hot sauce – got it!
"Soda is so bad. It's so good but so bad," he told Rogan, adding: "I was like 240 and now I'm like 185."
