Prince Andrew Reportedly Made 'Nasty' Remarks About Kate Middleton
According to royal biographer Andrew Lownie, who penned the bombshell biography Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York about Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, the Duke of York made several "rude" and "unkind" comments about the Princess of Wales following the Queen's passing in 2022.
The exact remarks haven't been revealed, but Lownie believes they came from a place of jealousy.
Was Prince Andrew 'Jealous' Of Kate Middleton?
"I can't see how anyone could make unkind comments about Kate when she's been the family's saving grace," Lownie told Radar Online, before going on to suggest that Prince Andrew may have been resentful of Kate's growing prominence in the royal family after Her Majesty's death.
"It surprised me, but people do get jealous," he continued, adding: "I'd have thought Prince Andrew would respect William as future king though" than to be "nasty about his wife."
Prince William Wants Prince Andrew To 'Vanish' From Public View
Prince William's relationship with Prince Andrew was seemingly already strained, but these alleged remarks about the mom-of-three have only deepened the rift. And that could have serious consequences for Prince Andrew in the not-so-distant future!
Royal commentator Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital that Prince William still holds "a grudge against his disgraced uncle." She added: "Andrew's future within the royal family is beyond bleak, since Prince William is firmly opposed to any public rehabilitation with no foreseeable path back. He wants Andrew to vanish from public view."
Lownie echoed the sentiment, saying Prince William is determined to keep the monarchy moving forward without his disgraced uncle in the picture. "William has a very strong sense of public duty and is doing his best to keep the show on the road," he explained, adding: "He's all about doing things the right way and has enough on his plate without having to think about his uncle."
