Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the decision to leave the Royal Family nearly a year ago, and it seems as though this may now be finalized after tentative discussions for them to return to their duties. According to a source close to the royal family, all talks are “dead in the water” after their year long “trial” away, and the pair intend to stay in the States.
The couple have made a series of business ventures since moving to Montecito, California last year to pursue careers outside of being royalty. Most recently, Prince Harry and Meghan made a major podcast deal with Spotify, as well as signed a contract with Netflix, securing them millions of dollars in profit.
According to a source close to the family, “It just goes to underline the Queen’s judgement. You simply can’t do both roles without conflict. And contrary to speculation, it was actually a pretty straightforward decision on Her Majesty’s behalf.”
While it’s likely the outcome they had hoped for, Meghan and Prince Harry are now locked into their business ventures outside of royal life for good. However, another source noted, “They have bought a house 6,000 miles away, which is an unmistakable statement of intent on their behalf.” Looks like they’re getting exactly as they wanted!
Fortunately, “there is no anger or animosity [on behalf of the Royal Family],” so Meghan and Harry can enjoy their new lives without fear of isolating themselves from the rest of his relatives. We wonder how the holidays will look for them next year!
