While Meghan Markle has definitely sworn off all things royal, if you watch Prince Harry closely, it looks like there are parts of him that will forever be royal. Fans have been watching old videos of when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex essentially had a press tour after leaving the royal family, and even then some of Meghan’s jabs at royal life seemed to rub Harry the wrong way. Keep reading for more information.

Body Language Expert Weighs In

Jesus Enrique Rosas, a body language expert, pointed to the exaggerated curtsy Meghan Markle acted out in their Netflix special. The former Suits actress recalled the first time she met Queen Elizabeth and dramatically bent over, hunched, acting out her first curtsy to the Queen.

If you draw your eyes away from Meghan, though, and take a glance at Harry, he doesn't appear to be amused by his wife's likening meeting his grandmother to something out of Medieval Times. Rosas says Harry looks "serious and maybe even angry," noting that "there's no connection, no empathy in him."

"Notice what happens with his throat, he is swallowing at that moment," Rosas pointed out. "He is looking at Meghan and he displays contempt. A split second after that, he looks away and presses his jaw," which he takes to mean "covert anger."

Queen Elizabeth Didn't Approve Of Meghan

Despite Meghan and Harry's steadfast belief that they kept a warm relationship with the Queen, even naming their daughter "Lilibet" after the Queen's childhood nickname, it seems like Elizabeth told a different story. Royal historian Sally Bedell Smith recently published her conversations with the Queen's late cousin and close friend, Lady Elizabeth Anson, and the revelations certainly don't point to a warm relationship.

According to the historian, Queen Elizabeth "saw right through" Meghan Markle and her absurd claims of racism and bullying within the royal family. "It was out of character for the Queen, but she saw straight through Meghan. At the drinks before the dinner, a small group were talking to the monarch and she explained that Harry meeting Meghan had become a 'complete catastrophe.'"
