Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the royal family behind when they moved to Montecito, California in 2020, but it seems like they haven’t made the best impression on their neighbors over the past five years. A spiteful neighbor has taken to Page Six to dish on the royal pair and that they’re really like. Spoiler alert: he’s not Meghan’s biggest fan. Keep reading for more information.
Meghan Markle Doesn't 'Fit In'
A Montecito resident named Richard Mineards is sick and tired of his not-so-new neighbors. He described that Meghan especially doesn't "fit in" with the Montecito community. He allegedly recalls her turning away a local elderly historian who wanted to gift her a copy of his documentary about the history of the neighborhood when they first moved in. "The old man never got past the gate," Mineards described.
"She pays attention to every appearance, every word, every gesture. And here in Montecito, we appreciate simple people, even famous ones. Meghan doesn't play the community game," he continued. Worse, he reports that she "never tried to fit in," and remains "distant" when it comes to her neighbors.

Prince Harry Charms The Neighbors
Harry, however, seems to have won his neighbor's affections. Mineards called him "approachable," and definitely favors him over his other half. "He is always charming, approachable, with that very recognizable Windsor accent. He smiles, shakes hands, willingly exchanges a few words. We've seen him at the beach, in an organic coffee shop, or cycling in the hills.
Mineards continued, describing the Prince has "less in control" as his wife. "Harry has kept his good-natured side. We feel that he is more at ease here, even with his personal struggles."
"Meghan, on the other hand, is practically invisible," he added. "She's there, of course, but shows herself very little."
