The Duke and Duchess of Sussex just shelled out the shocking sum for their new property in Santa Barbara, California, which comes complete with an 18,000 square foot floor plan, stunning mountain views, 9 bedrooms, 16 baths, a pool and a tennis court!
The couple join fellow celebs Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres and Tom Cruise in retreating to this stunning coastal town, just 90 miles away from LA.
The couple reportedly didn't receive any financial support for the royal family for the purchase--and in fact, The Daily Mail reports that they obtained a $9M mortgage to complete the sale. Stars--they're just like us!

The mansion, known as "The Chateau," was built by Russian tycoon Sergey Grishin and featured a stripper pole and arcade! We doubt that the pair--who are parents to 1-year-old Archie--left the stripper pole in tact.
A spokesperson for the family confirmed to Vogue that the couple had moved into a new home in July. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved into their family home in July of this year. They have settled into the quiet privacy of their community since their arrival and hope that this will be respected for their neighbors, as well as them for a family," they told the mag.
