In the new biography “Prince Philip Revealed,” author Ingrid Seward, a veteran royal author, reveals that the Queen’s husband of 70 years was not so keen on his grandson’s decision to withdraw from royal duties.
“He has struggled greatly, for example, with what he sees as his grandson Harry’s dereliction of duty,” she writes in the new book. “Giving up his homeland and everything he cared about for a life of self-centered celebrity in North America.” Yikes!

The husband of Queen Elizabeth II was reportedly quite unhappy with Harry's decision to leave the family, aka "Megxit," which took place earlier this year and freed him from his responsibility to perform official duties, as the rest of the clan including Prince William, Kate Middleton and of course, the Queen herself must do.
Harry and Meghan's decision to leave the family and move to America with their one-year-old son Archie is the subject of the new tell-all.

The 99-year-old King's true feelings about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are revealed in the salacious book, including that, “He has found it hard to understand exactly what it was that made his grandson’s life so unbearable.”
Seward writes, “As far as Philip was concerned, Harry and Meghan had everything going for them: a beautiful home, a healthy son, and a unique opportunity to make a global impact with their charity work.”

Philip himself only recently retired from royal duties at almost 100 years of age. “For a man whose entire existence has been based on a dedication to doing the right thing, it appeared that his grandson had abdicated his responsibilities for the sake of his marriage to an American divorcée in much the same way as Edward VIII gave up his crown to marry Wallis Simpson in 1937,” Seward reveals. Yikes!
