The future king recently visited his former airbase, RAF Valley, where he stepped out in uniform to celebrate its 85th anniversary. Though he was carrying out royal duties, visiting with soldiers and more, after pictures from the visit were released on social media, fans couldn’t help but point out that his scruffy beard was back. Prince William Visits RAF Valley In His Uniform For 85th Anniversary
The Prince of Wales recently made another visit to the airbase in RAF Valley this week, but this time it was an extra special trip, as they were celebrating the base's 85th anniversary.
On Tuesday, he visited the base in Anglesey, North Wales, and he tends to make these visits routinely, given that he was a search and rescue pilot at the Holyhead base from 2010 to 2013 before becoming Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps in 2024. During the trip, he had numerous meaningful conversations with soldiers and more, talking about how he "loved" his time at the airbase, and that he had "fond memories" from his time as a serving pilot.
Throughout the day, he wore his uniform covered in camouflage with rolled-up sleeves, coordinating pants, a belt, and a hat to top things off. Additionally, he had a salt-and-pepper, scruffy beard, which he's been sporting more often over the last few years.
