The first few days of this year’s Cannes Film Festival have brought on some pretty unique fashion trends, and two famous models rocked the same dress trend that we may be seeing more of this year.
Alessandra Ambrosio and Irina Shayk hit the red carpet at the famous festival, which many notable stars attend, in France on May 13th in two very different dresses that had one similar feature: puffy sleeves. The Brazillian model, most famous for her work as a Victoria's Secret Angel from 2004 to 2017, stepped out onto the Cannes Film Festival 2025 red carpet in a stunning gown that not only complimented her figure but also had an extra flare with some large, puffy sleeves. The strapless gown, designed by Zuhair Murad, was a bright green color and had a long dramatic leg slit in it. The floor-length gown was strapless and had low-slung poofy sleeves.
Irina decided to take the sleeves to the next level by wearing long black gloves. She wore her brunette locks in a tight bun updo and wore shiny dangling diamond earrings. On Instagram, she wrote that she had a "magical" time at the festival's opening night, and her fans praised her for her super chic red carpet look.
