More bombshells about the royal family are dropping following the release of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Harry & Meghan Netflix docuseries, with the latest one involving the late Queen Elizabeth II; in particular, how the late monarch made a final attempt to get her son, the then Prince Charles, and her grandson Prince Harry, to reconcile before her death.
The Late Queen's Final Attempt To Reunite King Charles And Prince Harry Before Her Death
According to reports, the late Queen, who passed away peacefully on September 8th earlier this year, tried to broker a deal with her grandson after becoming concerned that King Charles stopped taking his calls; and a large part of that was reportedly down to money!

Harry reportedly "bombarded" his grandmother with calls after she was told to only take on "light duties" amid her deteriorating health, which led to King Charles taking over some of her duties. "The late Queen was always happy to speak with Harry," a royal insider told The Sun. "But when he asked for money she said, 'Why don’t you speak to your father?'" the source continued, adding, "Harry told her that Charles wasn’t taking his calls anymore."
"When the Queen asked Charles what he was doing about it because she was fielding so many calls, he told her, 'I’m not a bank,'" the royal insider continued, before going on to say that King Charles "insisted" that his son email him, and make any financial requests via his PA.
“My family literally cut me off financially in the first half of 2020 but I have what my Mum left me and without that we wouldn’t have been able to do this. It’s like she saw it coming and she’s been with us through this whole process” - Prince Harry#OprahMeghanHarry pic.twitter.com/4M2eqJPR0d

Conflicting Reports About Royal Finances
There are conflicting reports about the royal family's finances, as Prince Harry previously said that he had "literally been cut off financially" and a spokesperson for King Charles claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan are financially independent. "My family literally cut me off financially in the first half of 2020 but I have what my mum left me and without that we wouldn’t have been able to do this," Prince Harry told Oprah Winfrey in the now infamous interview. "It’s like she saw it coming and she’s been with us through this whole process," he added.
However, this doesn’t appear to be completely accurate, as Palace financial records reportedly show that King Charles gave £2M to his youngest son in the 2020/21 financial year, although the latest papers reportedly show that no money from the Duchy of Cornwall funds were given to his son in the past year.
The Divide Between The Sussexes And The Royal Family Is Even Greater Following Memoir And Netflix Docuseries
The divide between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the rest of the royal family understandably became even greater after Prince Harry's memoir was announced, as the family feared what could be exposed in its pages. "Members of the family, including William, had stopped speaking to Harry when they learned of his book deal, fearing what they said could end up in print," the insider revealed. "Harry is not as well off as people are led to believe. He was wanting money."

"There is a completely united front from the King and his family concerning the numerous attempts to privately make peace with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, which sadly have once again resulted in the other side wishing to air their repeated grievances to the world," another insider told The Mirror. "If there is a need to respond to anything in the upcoming series then you can be assured that response will be swift and robust."
