Reese Witherspoon absolutely glowed in a lavender sheath dress while discussing her new book on The View this week! The Morning Show star, 46, was photographed waving to fans while on the way to the talk show’s New York City studio. The Oscar winner donned a curve-hugging lilac-colored midi frock with long sleeves and a matching belt around her waist that helped emphasize her toned figure. She was also spotted later that day with a camel coat worn over her dress.

To complete her look, Witherspoon stepped out in matching light purple, sling-back, pointed-toe heels, and accessorized her stunning get-up with gold hoop earrings, and a neat French manicure. As for makeup, the Legally Blonde alum went for a minimal look to highlight her naturally beautiful features, including a dash of mascara, warm blush on her cheekbones, and a shiny light pink lipstick color.

She parted her long, signature blonde tresses down the middle, and styled them into face-framing waves with the ends drawing eyes to the scoop neck of her dress. While speaking with The View hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Alyssa Farrah Griffin, Ana Navarro and Sara Haines, Witherspoon explained that her new children’s book Busy Betty is about a “creative, curious, and exuberant young girl who has big plans and an even bigger heart.”

The Big Little Lies actress also noted that the book idea was was inspired by her younger self, and that young readers will love and relate to the main character because she is “an adventurous little girl’ who “turns a mess into success” and encourages kids to “tap into their own creativity.”

The book also features bright and colorful illustrations by Xindi Yan, and according to Penguin Random House, centers around a “smart and larger-than-life character who encourages young readers to celebrate what makes them unique and realize that anything is possible.” So cute!
