The 2022 Critics’ Choice Awards are airing tonight at 8, and with that comes the perfect opportunity to look back on one of our favorite event looks from the last several years: Renée Zellweger’s classic black Dior haute couture dress.

Not only did the 52-year-old actress win the award for ‘Best Actress’ that night, but she was also arguably one of the best dressed stars as well, rocking the iconic and timeless dress in celebration of her performance in Judy.
For the event, Zellweger wore her blonde locks swept back into an effortless ponytail with her bang pushed to the side in a classy and chic curtain bang. On her feet she wore a pair of pointed toe black Jimmy Choo pumps that enhanced the effortlessness of the look, and on her wrist was a simple gold bracelet in a nod to the basics of fashion.

The strapless frock fell at Zellweger’s ankles, cinching in her waist for a classic silhouette that only enhanced the actress’ natural beauty. This was not the first time that the 52-year-old stepped out in Dior haute couture, rocking another all black ensemble by the designer to the 2020 Film Independent Spirit Awards.
Although Zellweger is not nominated for any awards this year, we’re hopeful she will still attend the event and show off her stunning style once again. The Critics’ Choice Awards is known for bringing out some of the most iconic fashion looks of the year, and 2022 is sure to be no different with nominations for stars like Nicole Kidman, Jessica Chastain, and Lady Gaga.
