Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has had many viral moments since becoming a prominent figure in Donald Trump’s second administration, but a clip from a recent podcast interview has nearly broken the internet.

The U.S. Health Secretary was a guest on comedian Theo Von’s famous podcast, where, while talking about his former history with drug addiction, he made a confession that shocked listeners. He mentioned that he was “not afraid” of germs, and revealed it was because he used to do drugs off of toilet seats back in the day. The clip of him recalling his drug history quickly went viral online, where people couldn’t get over what he said, as well as how it seemed so unusual for a Health Secretary to admit to it. Read more about the viral moment below.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Says He's 'Not Afraid' Of Germs & Admits He Used To Do Drugs Off Toilet Seats In A Podcast Interview

The politician turned United States Health Secretary under the current President Trump administration sat down to chat with famous comedian and podcast host Theo Von for an episode of his podcast, This Past Weekend. The southern internet personality has built a reputation as someone who is able to get politicians and other notable figures to drop their guard a bit while talking to him, and RFK Jr.'s interview was no exception.

At one point, the two men began talking about how they knew each other before meeting for the podcast, as they're both former addicts who would attend the same recovery meetings prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, during the pandemic, the 72-year-old mentioned that he began a "pirate" group where the members of the recovery meeting could meet despite social distancing limitations. Then and there, he said something that would later go extremely viral on the internet.

"I'm not scared of a germ. I used to snort cocaine off of toilet seats," he said. "Like, if I don't, if I don't treat it, which means for me going to meetings every day. It's just bad for my life."

The Internet Reacts To RFK Jr.'s Statement On Social Media

Although some internet users and Trump supporters praised the former presidential candidate for his honesty and vulnerability regarding how he's treating his addiction, others could not get over what he said and how shocking it was.

After all, it's not often you hear a political official, especially one who makes decisions for the health and well-being of an entire country, talk about those kinds of things.

On social media platforms like X, users weighed in on what he had to say, even writing about how "gross" they thought it was.

"Ladies and gentlemen, our Health Secretary," wrote a user.

"This can't be real," added another.

"Unbelievable how much of a joke this administration is," a user commented, as another wrote, "It's so hard to take anything seriously at this point."

"That's laughable and highly unfortunate," wrote a user.

We'll be curious to see if RFK Jr. or perhaps the president ends up commenting on his viral podcast clip, but for now, it seems that the internet will not let him live it down for a while.
