Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have been repeatedly trolled over how they are handling the optics surrounding her ongoing legal battle against It Ends With Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni – and the internet is showing no signs of slowing down with both its mockery and its outrage!

Although the Deadpool & Wolverine actor, 49, has largely tried to stay out of the case, he has now reportedly been called as a witness in the upcoming trial, Lively v. Wayfarer Studios, which is expected to take place next month. Both Lively, 38, and Baldoni, 42, are also expected to testify, along with more than 40 witnesses Lively is reportedly selecting.

The couple have also been accused of attempting to shift attention away from the lawsuit through carefully timed social media posts, although many people don’t seem to be buying it. Now, he has finally publicly addressed the situation – although, judging by the online reaction, he may have wished he hadn’t…

Ryan Reynolds Praises Blake Lively In Viral New Interview

In a new interview for Today's Sunday Sitdown series, shared on Sunday, April 19th, the Spirited actor briefly addressed the case and said he was proud of the Another Simple Favor star, praising her "integrity" amid the ongoing legal battle.

"You really see the illusion behind so much of this stuff, digital life versus real life," the Wrexham AFC co-owner told Willie Geist. "Really, without getting into too much, I have never in my life been more proud of my wife," the Free Guy actor continued.

"People have no idea what is really going on. I've never been more proud of someone in my life, with that level of integrity that they bring with them in everything they do," he added.

Reynolds' statement comes after a significant development in the case. If you recall, U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed 10 of Lively's 13 claims against Baldoni, including several relating to sexual harassment. However, her claims alleging a retaliatory smear campaign were allowed to proceed and are expected to be central to the upcoming trial.

Unsurprisingly, the internet was quick to react to the Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard actor's comments…

Internet Reactions

"Is the integrity in the room with us?" asked one Instagram user. "Please someone explain to this man the meaning of 'integrity,'" agreed a second, as a third exclaimed: "Seriously! I'm wondering if he and his wife even know the meaning of integrity at this point!"

"'People have no idea what is really going on.' Actually Ryan, we read every page. We know exactly what's going on. And it's not what you're selling," slammed a fourth, as a fifth echoed: "You’re not fooling anyone." "Ryan is complicit in this whole drama. I'm sure they're shocked that their star power didn't dazzle the judge," added a sixth.

"The judge certainly did know what was going on to dismiss those SA charges against Justin Baldoni! BlakeZilla," criticized a seventh, as an eighth said: "Plantation princess delulu and deadbeat creepy Ryan integrity 101." "They are delusional," a ninth chimed in, followed by two crying laughing emojis, as a tenth concurred: "They're both delusional narcissists."

"Stop it Ryan. You're part of the problem too," added an eleventh, followed by two crying laughing emojis, while a twelfth said: "These two are unbelievable." "This is laughable," declared a thirteenth, as a fourteenth demanded: "Just leave the country already."
