Sandra Bullock turned heads as she made a striking and highly-anticipated return to the red carpet at the Warner Bros. Pictures presentation during CinemaCon in Las Vegas on April 14th. It marked her first red carpet appearance in two years following the death of her partner.

The Lost City actress, 61, attended the event to promote Practical Magic 2, which she stars in alongside Nicole Kidman. She looked confident, ageless, and powerful in a bold red suit consisting of wide-legged trousers and an oversized blazer, paired with a racy black bra underneath.

Her jaw-dropping appearance comes after a long period away from the spotlight. She was last seen at a 30th-anniversary screening of Speed back in October 2024, and then stepped back from public life to grieve privately.

Sandra Bullock Reportedly Took Time To Grieve And Heal Before Returning To The Spotlight

The Oscar-winning actress has been quietly mourning her partner Bryan Randall, who passed away in August 2023 following a private three-year battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). She has not publicly addressed his passing and has remained out of the spotlight until now.

According to an insider, the Miss Congeniality alum deliberately took time away to focus on healing alongside her children – son Louis, 16, and daughter Laila, 14.

"After everything she went through with Bryan, she needed time to care for herself," a source told People. "She spent a lot of time healing, being with her kids and being at home. She needed to ensure that she and her kids were in the best possible place for her to go back to work."

Sandra Bullock Had A Lot Of 'Support' While Working On 'Practical Magic 2' After Her Partner's Death

The insider added that the Unforgivable actress has taken a careful and intentional approach to her comeback.

"She has worked on this project for the last few years in order to get it made as a producer and as an actor and she's having fun with the entire process," they said, in reference to Practical Magic 2, which she stars in alongside Kidman.

"She has a tight circle of very loyal friends in the industry who have stood by her through everything. Having that kind of support has made a big difference."

Bullock herself recently spoke about her return to filming while appearing at the CNBC Changemakers Summit in New York City, where she promoted the film. She revealed that her decision to work again was entirely based on her children's schedule.

"I made this film at this time because I knew my kids were out of school. I'm not going to sacrifice my children's — my time — with my kids," she explained. "They'd be happy if I was gone. I would not. It's true. And I do not do my best work if my children are struggling or if they need something and I can't facilitate it."

Fans Share Messages Of Support Following Sandra Bullock's Loss And Return To The Spotlight

As expected, fans flooded social media with messages of support.

"Dear Sandra losing her partner was tragic. It surely took quite a toll on her. I'm thrilled to see her back with a new film. I adore her acting. She is one of the true gems out there in a very murky pool of washed-up and talentless suspects!" wrote one fan on a Page Six post.

"You've got this, Sandy B!" exclaimed a second. "Totally love Sandra and she has been through it! So glad to see you back on the screen and glad that you are enjoying it! Hope you and the kids are finding that peace again and they have grown up way too fast, but both are beautiful people!" wrote a third on a People post.

"I like Sandra Bullock she always seemed to have her head on her shoulders, sad that she and her family lost their loved one, at the same time, the time healing and being there for her children made a difference in how everything went after the fact. I can't wait to see her next role!" wrote a fourth.

"She is an incredible actress, and I am so sorry for her loss. I wish you nothing but life's blessings," added a fifth, as a sixth chimed in: "Wow. I really hope this is a healing moment for her. She really does deserve peace and happiness. ALS is such a cruel disease. I continue to hope for an effective treatment and cure. They seemed like a lovely couple."
