At Subway, you're in full control of your sandwich. You get a say in the bread, the meat and the toppings, and you get to watch it all get put together so you know it's going to be good. But, before you stop by your local Subway to get your usual order, you're going to want to make sure you're avoiding THIS sandwich...

Before we get to the sandwich, you're going to want to make sure you're making smarter choices when it comes to your bread, too. One Subway employee warns customers to steer clear of the Harvest bread when building their sandwich. "If you’re not going to a busy store, don’t get the harvest bread, since it usually sits around for days," the anonymous employee tells U.K.'s Express

Okay, that's definitely good to know. So, what's the one sandwich you shouldn't order from Subway? One employee says you should definitely avoid the Meatball Sub! Apparently, this is a sandwich that has a bad rep for not being fresh, so you should ask if it is beforehand.

"You'll be told yes no matter what," the employee said in a Reddit AMA thread. "But if they have to go check, it's actually a guaranteed no. They're checking to see if they can pass as fresh. Trust me, meatballs are annoying to prep, and we know damn well if they're fresh or not without needing to check."

Not only should you be wary of the Meatball Sub, but also try your best to steer clear of the roast beef. Thrillest says that roast beef is the fastest meat that goes bad at Subway, so definitely double check with an employee that it's fresh before putting it on your sandwich.
