Don’t we all wish we could just eat nonstop without experiencing any health repercussions? While that will never be quite possible, it is possible to eat a lot of snacks without harming your health – just don’t eat too much.

The key is to find the right snacks that are the perfect blend of delicious and nutritious. A healthy snack does nothing for us if we don’t enjoy eating it, so you have to find something that you’ll actually like.

And lucky for us, we’ve discovered quite a few healthy snacks that nutritionists often recommend. And no, we’re not just talking about fruit or celery with hummus. There are actually plenty of savory snacks you can eat without harming your health.

1. Nuts And Seeds

You've probably heard this one a few times before. Nuts and seeds are loaded with nutrients, like fiber, protein and vitamins, yet carry very few carbs. Plus, they're typically a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, which can help boost your metabolism.

Next time you're craving a savory snack, make a mix of nuts and seeds and add some salt. You can also buy pre-made mixes, but the benefit of making it yourself is that you can control the amount of sodium so you won't over-do it.

2. Overnight Oats

We mostly think of overnight oats as a breakfast meal, but you can eat them as a snack too. They're loaded with protein and fiber, making them the right type of food for a midday snack.

Instead of prepping oats for breakfast, you can make a big batch to keep in the fridge and eat a cup as a snack when you're feeling peckish.

3. Popcorn

It might come as a surprise, but popcorn can actually be quite healthy. If you don't eat it with added butter or too much salt, popcorn is low in fat and carbs.

Popcorn is high in fiber, which can be beneficial for a savory snack. Buy plain popcorn and add the salt yourself to make sure you're not eating too much sodium.

4. Veggie Chips

And last but not least, we have veggie chips. This is the obvious answer to finding a healthy savory snack.

You can either buy your own veggie chips from the grocery store, or try making them yourself in the oven. Kale chips are the most popular homemade option, but you can also try making chips with spinach, broccoli or cauliflower.
