After his recent split from Sofia Richie, Scott Disick checked into a rehab facility to deal with the emotional trauma of his parents’ deaths in 2013. However, soon after Disick checked into the facility, news of his time in rehab was leaked. The 37-year-old checked out soon after that–not trusting the privacy of the facility anymore.
Kourtney Kardashian, who shares three children with Disick, recently opened up about how it impacted Scott and their family. Keep reading for details!
In an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, viewers can see exactly how this affected the family. In one scene, Kim is seen saying, "I heard that Scott went to rehab by seeing it online and it looks like someone at the facility leaked a photo of him. I feel really bad for him."
Kourtney replies, explaining that the entire situation is "really, really so awful." Plus, according to Kourtney, "actual conversations with the therapist" had been leaked.
Kourtney added, "He said he's never been more betrayed in his life. He's packing and he's definitely coming home. He's really upset. Especially [because] he was actually going to work on himself and his traumas.”
The reality star continued, mentioning potential legal action: "I think he absolutely should file a suit. I feel like whoever did leak this information should be really ashamed of themselves. Everyone deserves to deal with their past traumas in privacy. He was completely violated."
A source told People, that Disick is "committed to getting better."
According to the insider, he "will do anything to help himself be the right type of man and father, but being somewhere where photos are released is not a safe place for him."
Whoever leaked the news of Scott's visit to rehab got in the way of that.
While Disick is still working through his past traumas, he has also been spending time with his family as a way to help him heal and feel better.
An insider told People, "He has been around the kids a lot. He is only spending time with people who can support him and help him be the best possible."
