Lip Reader Says Taylor & Selena Were Gossiping About Kylie Jenner
In the now-viral video clip, Taylor is seated at her table next to Keleigh Sperry, who is married to Miles Teller, when Selena Gomez comes up to the two of them, apparently with piping hot tea. Keleigh leans in, closing their circle, as Selena Gomez spills.
Lip reading expert Jeremy Freeman claims that Only Murders in the Building actress said, “He didn’t want to take a picture with me. He said no.”
Keleigh then clarified, asking “Timothée?” referring to Timothée Chalamet, who is dating Kylie Jenner. Selena answered with a nod as Taylor’s jaw dropped.
“I tried, I couldn’t, it’ll upset ’em,” Freeman claims Selena said next. Implying that Kylie was behind Timothée’s decline for a photo together, if this is true, it could stir up some serious drama
Though Kylie and Selena don’t have any beef—or at least, any recent beef—Kylie is besties with Hailey Bieber who is married to Selena’s ex, Justin Bieber. Fans have been pitting Hailey and Selena against one another for years, so it’s safe to say there’s some tension there.
That’s not the only connection Kylie and Selena have. Kylie’s half sister is Kim Kardashian, and Selena’s bestie is Taylor Swift, and Taylor just recently slammed Kim Kardashian in her TIME magazine Person of the Year interview.
Selena Gomez Shuts Down Rumors: 'Not Anyone's Business'
Though speculation has run rampant, Selena Gomez cleared things up in an Instargam comment yesterday afternoon. In response to an E! News headline asking, "Was Selena Gomez Gossiping About Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet at Golden Globes?" Selena responded:
"Noooooo I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up. Not that that’s anyone business.”
A source close to Selena also confirmed that Kylie and Timothée were not a topic of conversation for the trio. "She was absolutely not referencing anything about Timothée or Kylie," the source says.
The source went on to add that Selena "never even saw or spoke to them." Though Timothée and Selena aren't friends, nor do they run in the same circles, they did star in A Rainy Day In New York in 2019.
It doesn't seem like the gossip got to her, though, because Selena later posted on Instagram a photo of her sharing a smooch with her new BF Benny Blanco, which she captioned "I won."
