After her public split with her partner of 11 years, pro soccer player Gerard Pique, the separation went viral on the internet after rumors spread that Pique might have cheated on her. Fast forward to now, Shakira has learned a lot from the situation and revealed to Elle that her kids were her number one priority during all the mess. “I try to conceal the situation from them as much as I can. It’s really upsetting for two kids who are trying to process their parents’ separation. And sometimes I just feel like this is all a bad dream and that I’m going to wake up at some point.”
It seems that this bad dream is slowly fading away for Shakira, as the ‘Woman of the Year’ award winner has recently been all smiles (and straight hair!) during a fun game night out with her sons watching the Dodgers play.
