On December 1st, the annual Gotham Independent Film Awards were held in New York City and featured some of today's most talked-about performers.
One of the esteemed guests was the Wolverine icon, who was there to represent his upcoming film, based on a Neil Diamond tribute band titled Song Sung Blue. Co-starring him and Kate Hudson, the movie was given the inaugural Gotham Musical Tribute award. Supporting Hugh was none other than Sutton Foster, a Broadway star and his current girlfriend, following his surprising divorce from long-term wife, Deborra-Lee Furness.
In a viral clip posted on Instagram by a fellow attendee, the couple can be seen embracing near their table, with Hugh holding onto Sutton's arms as she speaks to him. The two appear to be having an animated conversation as he continues to grab one of her hands, and they laugh together. While it was a subtle moment of affection between the couple, it didn't take long for the sneaky clip to go viral.

Months after the pair closed The Music Man on Broadway, where they became quite close as castmates, the Les Misérables actor revealed he was splitting from his wife of 27 years, Deborra-Lee Furness.
Deborra then took to the media to release statements about how their separation and eventual divorce were a "betrayal," leading many to speculate that his now, seemingly thriving relationship with the Broadway star might've started out as something more scandalous. Either way, the internet is continuing to raise its eyebrows after seeing the trending footage of them.
