The Modern Family actor got her start modeling in the early ’90s. According to the star, she was discovered on a beach with her parents when she was 17.
The actor, who initially wanted to be a dentist, could have never known what it would lead to, she told E! News, “I was 17. I was at the beach with my parents and some scout asked to take a Polaroid of me.”
The Colombian-native is renowned for her hilarious comedic timing and loud-mouth attitude on the ABC sitcom. But, the bombshell’s first job was in a Pepsi commercial in 1992. Now, she has a multitude of business ventures including her own line of size-inclusive shapewear.
Vergara is married to fellow actor and Hollywood hottie Joe Manganiello. The two actors got together five years ago, but they starred in their first movie together Bottom of the 9th this summer.
