Sophie Turner finally addressed those September 2023 rumors about her allegedly neglecting her and ex-husband Joe Jonas‘ daughters Willa, 3, and Delphine, 1, in favor of a party lifestyle. Spoiler alert: she said “none” of the rumors are “true.”
The 28-year-old Games of Thrones actress opened up about the rumors, which came in the midst of her divorce from the 34-year-old Jonas Brothers musician, in a candid interview with British Vogue, which went hand in hand with her covering the fashion bible’s June 2024 issue. Sophie Turner Addresses Those Party Girl Allegations In 'British Vogue'
When the news of their divorce first became public knowledge, a source reportedly told TMZ at the time: "She likes to party, he likes to stay at home. They have very different lifestyles." Another source echoed this, telling the Daily Mail that Sophie was allegedly finally enjoying being "carefree," which she didn't have much of a chance to be since meeting Joe at 20 years old and being pregnant with their two children.
Turner said she first heard the 'party girl' rumors last year while she was filming Joan in Europe, and confessed: "Those were the worst few days of my life." She went on to clarify that she has "never been a partier" and is "a good mom" to the daughters she shares with her ex.
"I was on set, I was contracted to be on set for another two weeks, so I couldn't leave. My kids were in the States and I couldn't get to them because I had to finish Joan. And all these articles started coming out," the X-Men: Apocalypse actress recalled.
"It hurt because I really do completely torture myself over every move I make as a mother – mom guilt is so real! I just kept having to say to myself, 'None of this is true. You are a good mom and you've never been a partier.'"

The Staircase actress also updated the magazine about where things currently stand with co-parenting, and her life at the present moment. "I'm unhappy with the way everything played out, especially when it comes to my children," she said, adding: "But I think we're doing the best we can."
"I'm confident that we can figure it out," she continued, before praising her ex's parenting skills. "Joe is a great father to our children and that's all that I can ask for."
As for how she is now she has relocated from the U.S. back to her native the U.K.? "Now that I'm back home, I'm actually the happiest I've been in a really long time," Turner expressed, while also confirming that she is no longer taking medication for depression. "I'm starting over again, rediscovering what I like to do, who I like to be with."
"There's something about a community and a support system that I've never realised is so important up until now," Turner explained. "And I think the reason I was on medication for so long is because I didn't have those people with me."
